The Jamestown City Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at City Hall. The City of Jamestown is governed by a mayor and a six member city council. The city clerk, treasurer, and city  attorney are all appointed by the mayor.  The mayor is elected every four years and city council members every two.
